Great fishing from the Fort Lauderdale fishing boats today. We caught a lot of good action out there today. Both our drift boats went out this afternoon. The Catch MY Drift went out and went shallow water snapper fishing. They caught the yellowtail snapper pretty good today. This little guy in the photo caught a lot of the fish on the trip today and let me tell you that this kid is going to be a future mate for Fishing Headquarters. He was a great little fisherman and he helped some of the other customers with their fish.
The Mary B III went out on a private charter today. The guys wanted to go trolling offshore for dolphin ans stuff so we headed offshore. We got into a nice little school of dolphins and we caught a few good ones for dinner. We kept trolling and got a couple shipjack tuna fish later on in the day. On this little board we found floating offshore, our deep line got hit by a small wahoo. It wasn’t a giant one, but hey, we won’t complain. Lots of good eating fish on this trip.
The Out of the Blue got a couple nice fish today too. We started off by catching a huge kingfish, almost a 2o pounder. The kite was the best thing going today. Later on in the trip we got a big sailfish. The fish ate a live mullet we had out of the kite and this fish fought HARD!!! What a beauty. Lots of jumping action and the fish pretty much fought to the last breath he had. This was this guys first sailfish, but we didn’t throw him in the water after catching this one. We had the jack crevelles chummed up at the dock and they were in a feeding frenzy so we let him slide in regards to this little tradition of ours. Anyway, we’ve been catching the sailfish all week and they are biting good, so come on out here and catch some big fish with us. Sea ya all out there on the deep sea….
